Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner was one of the top people involved in the housing rip-off. So instead of firing him, they promoted him. Why have a secretary of the Treasury when you have the Federal Reserve printing off money and bailing out foreign countries?
Since most everything Obama does makes me sick, will Obamacare, when fully implemented, cover my illness?
Never miss a local story.
The rich people in France are fleeing the country because their government raised taxes on the wealthy to 75 percent. Obama wants to raise the taxes on wealthy Americans. Do Americans really think that a poor person can give them a job or sign a paycheck? Rather than buy into Obama’s class-warfare agenda, people should think of the consequences.
Some of you can’t give up playing the race card, can you?
My advice to secessionists: self-deportation. Love your country or leave it.
Tim Huelskamp was mediocre in the Kansas Senate and has failed to rise to that level in the U.S. House. He’s a narrow-minded obstructionist. Perhaps this will encourage the people of the “Big First” to wise up and vote him out of office.
According to his campaign ads in 2010, Huelskamp was going to Washington, D.C., to “stick it to Obama and Pelosi.” Little did he know that two years later, Speaker John Boehner would be “sticking it” to Huelskamp. Being a good farmer, Huelskamp should have heeded the old agricultural adage that “you reap what you sow.”
Hey, all you western Kansas farmers who elected the recently neutered Tim Huelskamp: Your chickens are coming home to roost.
If Bob Costas wants to discuss politics and social issues, he should quit his lucrative job in the entertainment field and apply at MSNBC. Maybe Chris Matthews needs a color man.
Climate change, shmange. Next thing the scientists will want me to believe is that they have put a robot on Mars.
Just think if Sedgwick County got on “The Total Money Makeover” by Dave Ramsey. After a few years of knocking off the debt, the county would be rich enough to actually send each resident a check.
Every Sunday The Eagle publishes a Richard Crowson cartoon on the editorial page that is obviously slanted to the left. Fair and balanced? You decide.
While going through my Wichita Eagle calendar for 2013, I found it odd that Mother’s Day was acknowledged, but Father’s Day was not mentioned. What is that telling us?
