The administration’s new secretary of state should be selected from the Harlem Globetrotters. All razzle-dazzle and, besides, it’s just a game.

What do Greece, Italy and the U.S. have in common? The very wealthy do not pay their fair share of taxes. In Greece and Italy, the wealthy bribe the tax collectors to avoid paying taxes. In the U.S., we have lobbyists like Grover Norquist.

Bob Beatty’s “Kansas vote was much different from nation” (Nov. 27 Opinion) confirmed what I already knew – that a large bloc of women helped torpedo the country in the national election, as well as in various state races.

President Obama did not kill Osama bin Laden. Navy SEALs killed him after a 10-year hunt. Obama just happened to be in office when it occurred. As to the killing of the Twinkies: Republicans didn’t kill them; unions did that.

Karl Rove was right about Democratic voter suppression – the long lines at the polls caused Republicans depression and suppression.

In 1961 the great President Kennedy said, “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” Fifty years later, a sick and twisted Obama says, “Ask what your country can do for you.”

Why is “Silver Linings Playbook” showing at the Warren Theatres in Oklahoma but not in Wichita? It’s not even in the upcoming shows on the website for Wichita.

Randy Travis said he is done with alcohol for good. We have seen the bad he has done with alcohol. Real bad. Best wishes in his recovery.
