The Electoral College is an anachronism from the 18th century, when it took weeks or months to travel to D.C. by horseback to elect the president. It should be abolished. With current systems, we can get national election results that night – well, except for Florida.
All you tea partiers: Stop complaining that “they” didn’t give you a radical enough candidate. Nominate your own and run as a third party. If you are right about the will of the country, you’ll win.
My fellow “real” Americans: I think it’s time to fly our flags upside down.
We should allow Obama to run for president again. The last thing we need is for him to spend more time governing. He surely couldn’t be re-elected with the 25 percent real unemployment we’ll have in four years.
I’m trying to find a positive here. At least we can wait four more years before we see that long list of asinine presidential pardons.
Truthfulness is one of the greatest forces in the world. Too bad Obama does not practice that. A prime example is Benghazi, where four Americans died.
Sen. Pat Roberts is such a hypocrite. He criticized the president about the attack in Benghazi. But when he chaired the Senate Intelligence Committee, all he did was stonewall any investigation into why we attacked Iraq, where thousands died.
A survey shows that 62 percent of voters want leaders in Washington willing to compromise “to get things done.” Good luck with that with the Kansas delegation.
Attention, politicians who mailed all those large postcards based on false statements during the recent campaign: The punishment that liars suffer is that no one will believe them when they do tell the truth.
I wish Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger would run for governor in the Republican primary. It would be nice to be able to vote for a responsible, reasonable adult.
The U.S. would be in much better shape if we could remember where we hid all of the gold coins in Europe that keep resurfacing in these one-time offers.
Please wear purple on Friday to support pancreatic cancer awareness. It is the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths.
