How ironic would it be for Boeing Wichita to close, then have Spirit AeroSystems default on its loans, only to have Boeing have to step in and buy back the very business it sold seven years ago? When you lose $590 million in a quarter, anything can happen.
Nowhere to hide from disasters. The East Coast has hurricanes. The West Coast has earthquakes. Kansas has Gov. Sam Brownback.
Shocker fans should be ashamed of themselves. The team won the NIT in 2011 and made the NCAA Tournament in 2012, yet the fans failed to fill Koch Arena for a free scrimmage to support the Shockers at Shocker Madness.
President Obama appears more concerned about “protection” for coeds than protection for ambassadors.
The Obama administration left our ambassador in Libya woefully unprotected on Sept. 11, even after more protection had been requested. The battle ended with four Americans dead and a disgusting attempt by the administration to cover up what happened. This is a horrible scandal that should result in Obama’s defeat.
We need a leader who understands and promotes the exceptionalism of America and its amazing people, not one who says we are lazy and greedy.
If Mitt Romney is America’s best hope, we might as well vacate the nation. What has he done since 2006 but chase around the country running for president? He will say anything, be anything, do anything to accomplish this purpose. Where’s his consistency, his integrity, his inner core?
If Colin Powell thinks Romney’s foreign policy, or lack thereof, is worrisome, we ought to pay attention. Powell is an insider, with firsthand experience, on the workings of the Republican shenanigans.
My doctor has no legal right to force me to swallow medication. Why should my dentist, City Council or neighbor have that right? How outrageous that anyone would even want to force fluoride on others. There’s no excuse for it.
Don’t want fluoride in the water you drink? Put in a well.
I’ll deny climate change even if it kills me.
I am so sick and tired of the election news and robocalls that I can hardly wait to get back to news about the end of the world on Dec. 21 at 6:30 p.m.
