Is it too late to get in the NIT?
I am so proud of the Kansas representation in the NCAA tournament this year. Living in Texas, where “Texas pride” runs rampant, it’s nice to have something to brag about. Congratulations on WSU’s great season. I’m so proud to be from Wichita.
As I look at Congress’ miserable poll numbers, I think every person running should sign a pledge. If the candidates win their election, they need to work for the good of the American people. If they don’t, they should resign. They are not elected to score points for their party.
The oil industry does not like President Obama. Therefore, in this election year, it raises the gas prices so he will be blamed and voted out of office. Do we really want one industry controlling this country and us like that? It is supposed to be government by the people, not by industry.
President Obama is spending $750,000 to build a new soccer field at Gitmo for terrorists who would kill us in a heartbeat. He did not ask our opinion. If he had polled the American people about this expenditure, the idea would have been soundly repudiated.
So Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai is angry. What else is new? Karzai only cares about Karzai. He always devalues NATO and U.S. sacrifices and is using the tragic killing of 16 civilians to further his personal agenda. Leave Afghanistan now.
Iran is a dire threat not only to Israel, not only to the nations of the Middle East, but also to the United States. A nuclear Iran allied with Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas is a fearful prospect. The American people understand this even if our president does not.
I’ve finally figured out what drives conservatives. They are selfish and paranoid. They have a deep fear that somebody somewhere is going to take something from them that they believe belongs to them alone.
More Catholic hocus-pocus and Vatican voodoo on the front page of Local & State Friday. Do the majority of The Eagle’s readers really care?
It is a shame that law enforcement is aware of the blatant citywide violations of its disorderly conduct (noise pollution) ordinance and yet does nothing about it.
To the man who uses his bathroom sink as a urinal: I hope you live alone and you don’t get company wanting to use your bathroom. Gross. There are ways to save water when flushing.
