I went down to the Kansas Star Casino for the first time. I was really impressed with it. They spent a lot of money on it. I don’t smoke. The air quality seemed OK to me. Some people will complain about anything.

No one has stated that Emerson Open Magnet Elementary deserves to be open more than any other school. But Emerson doesn’t fit the bullet points the consultants looked at for school closure. Emerson teaches honesty and respect. It would be nice if the district practiced these two virtues as well.
We want balanced dental protection for all Wichita residents. We want our water fluoridated now.
Why doesn’t the Sedgwick County Jail continue with cold meals for inmates and not waste our tax dollars renovating the kitchen facilities? The county should take a page from the book of the Arizona sheriff who erected a tent city. Let’s make jail less appealing.
