Just got back from Topeka. Saw a mural of a crazy man who was making news in the 1850s. Had a Bible in one hand and a gun in the other. Welcome to the past, Wichita.
I would like to thank the Republican Kansas congressional delegation for defending the Bush tax breaks for the millionaires and then nearly allowing the Obama tax break for the middle class to expire. Your “thank you” gift will come next Election Day.
I would have joined the Occupy movement if it had been protesting labor union greed.
Gov. Sam Brownback doesn’t understand that the three branches of government function separately. He thought he could tell the courts what to do, but found out otherwise. Question for all you nonbelievers: If there is nothing beyond this life, if you are just going to die, what’s the point of living?
Employers: When we jump through your hoops to apply for your job, treat us with respect at least. Initially reply with at least “received your application” and eventually a “sorry, we have chosen another, but wish you success in your job hunt.” No response reflects on the character of your company.
Maybe it would help the Wichita public golf courses if they would look at how hard surrounding courses, such as Sand Creek Station and Hesston, work at offering incentives and deals to come play their courses instead of raising the rates.
