Is our “prominent” citizen who wants to drop money over Wichita also a brave citizen? No one is stopping this person from walking around the poorer neighborhoods and dropping money. Doing it at night might even take more guts. So, what about it?
Wanting to throw money from a helicopter just shows you don’t have to be smart to be rich. The money would be better given to a local charity.
After checking out North Korea’s new dictator, Kim Jong Un, I can see why half his countrymen are starving. This pudgy-faced dude has clearly been eating way over his quota of food in that communist country.
What Secretary of State Hillary Clinton really meant to say regarding the death of Korea’s Kim Jong Il was, “Another one bites the dust.”
It was a mistake for us to invade Iraq. However, it is wrong to blame Americans for the Iraqis who were killed during the American occupation. Almost all of the Iraqis who were killed were killed by fellow Iraqis. And there were far fewer Iraqis killed during the American occupation than were killed under Saddam Hussein’s rule. I doubt if any Iraqi will ever admit these facts.
House Speaker John Boehner made another agreement with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and then had to retreat due to the radical element in his caucus. What a sorry state of affairs. We need to clean house.
I hope the House Republicans continue their stubborn ways. The 99 percent are watching and waiting our turn to vote them out of office in 2012.
The Democrats keep saying that Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are flip-floppers. That very well may be, but better a flip-flopper than a complete flop like Obama.
Now’s the time, folks: Don’t believe anything, such as unemployment numbers, coming from this government before the next election. It’ll all be lies.
If all you know about socialists comes from talk radio or Fox News, then you wouldn’t know a socialist if one came up and bit you on your butt.
It is funny watching the politicians falling all over themselves because Boeing lied to them about the jobs for Wichita. Maybe they should wake up. Corporations lie. They have no scruples when it comes to money. These are the same politicians who tell us to trust corporate America, that they don’t need regulations and that they will regulate themselves. What a joke.
It looks like the professional liars (members of Congress) don’t like it when the other professional liars (corporate CEOs) lie to them to obtain a government contract.
Politicians like to say that government should be run more like a business. Those same politicians are now yelling because Boeing is acting like the politicians.
Do our military veterans carry their weapons everywhere they go in the states? They didn’t when I served. After training exercises, your weapon was checked and locked. Every round was accounted for. Now we are going to allow wannabe cowboys to carry their hardware to parks. Good luck.
I do not shop at any store that bans the word “Christmas.” Changing “Christmas” to “gifts” or “holiday” does not cut it.
