If Kansas wants to consolidate school districts, it would be more logical to combine Wichita and Derby and Goddard and Maize, rather than pick on several schools out west located 50 to 60 miles apart.

I have to laugh when I read the nonsense that President Obama has taken the country away from Americans. George W. Bush spent eight years giving it away to huge multinational corporations. Quit complaining about Obama and go talk to George Bush.

So the Cash for Clunkers program didn't work out as intended, making it another well-thought-out program from Congress. And now here comes the so-called health care reform bill, which most members in Congress have never read. They want to rush it through before anyone knows what's in it.

Why are the news media afraid to mention that this alleged Fort Hood shooter is a Muslim?

I suppose the Fort Hood deal is another problem that George Bush caused.

The consultants on the Sedgwick County Jail ought to be given about five working days to submit their plan in full. If they fail, the county should cancel their contract and not pay them a dime.

A movie studio in downtown Wichita? This probably means another lucrative tax break is going to be given to somebody for a lamebrain project. What will they think of next?
