Remember when the media used to have a fit during the Bush economy when we lost 20,000 jobs in a month? Now we lose 600,000 and the media say, "No big deal, it's normal." No, it's not.

I am so tired of reading about our marvelous first couple and all their amazing experiences. I don't really need to see one-third of a page about Michelle Obama doing 143 hula hoop swivels and talking in a whiny voice about eating vegetables.

Apparently winning the Nobel Peace Prize does not lead to peacemaking with Fox News.

The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to President Obama, but I think it was also awarded on behalf of a lot of the people of the United States because they don't have to put up with George W. Bush anymore.

Did you ever wonder why college professors are such raving liberals? It's probably because they're the most intelligent, best-educated members of our society.

Want to lower the budget for death row? Put murderers to death and quit paying for their food and care.

I can't understand why an execution could cost $250 million when a bullet only costs 25 cents.

I think Kansas needs to legalize marijuana. I've never heard of anyone overdosing on marijuana. Pain meds, yes, but not on marijuana.

If Kansas legalized marijuana, the worst that would happen is that someone might shoplift a Twinkie at QuikTrip.

If Sedgwick County enforced the fireworks law instead of giving everyone warnings, it would take in thousands of dollars of revenue and the law would work.

It would be interesting to know if the people who believe shooting fireworks and guns into the sky on July 4 makes them patriotic are the same jerks who insist that not wearing seat belts or helmets is an expression of individual rights.

If this health care bill is passed, your freedom will be gone. So why are you worried about fireworks?

They can change the names of the hospitals, but to most Wichitans they'll still be St. Joseph and St. Francis.

To drivers of big, wide pickups: Why do you back your truck into a small space in a restaurant parking lot? I know it might be easier to get out after dinner, but to me you're just showing off.
