What's this? Democrats split over President Obama's health care joke? I guess a few of them can think.

Obama said health care negotiations would be public and shown on C-SPAN. Another promise bites the dust.

A health care plan with no public option is the same as not having a health care plan. Don't leave the insurance companies in charge. They need competition.

Every month more people in the United States die from lack of health insurance than died on Sept. 11.

White House adviser David Axelrod said Fox News "is really not news." No? It just tells the truth like it is, a concept the other news programs haven't grasped yet. If you don't hear the news on Fox, it probably isn't factually correct.

A justice of the peace in Louisiana refused to marry an interracial couple. Is he Rip Van Winkle's grandson? It's 2009, not 1959.

I'm sick of hearing this nonsense that the flag can't be worn or displayed here or there. I'm an American veteran and I'll display that flag wherever I want.

Until the economy recovers, the Kansas Lottery should be ashamed and shut down rather than take the last $20 that someone has to put food on the table.

For the Clutter murders, Richard Hickock and Perry Smith were hanged after 5 1/2 years. It costs about the same to house a death penalty inmate as it does to house a regular prisoner. Who gets the extra money for capital cases? Lawyers. Who wants to correct the problem? Legislators and lawyers.

A 20-year downtown revitalization plan sounds fantastic. But no one is going to be there 20 years from now to see if it's going to work.

With two kinds of flu on people's minds and hand washing so important, it would be a good time to keep fingernails shorter and scrub under your nails. Use lots of soap and water.

Increased idiocy in the American genetic pool may be the result of cell phone addiction. Perhaps radiation from cell phones is destroying the commonsense center in brains and future generations will be born with five thumbs for easy texting. This evolutionary trend is predicted by Darwinian theory.
