Longtime Wichita Eagle food columnist Frank Good wrote a popular cookbook called "Rare Recipes and Budget Savers." The paper sold more than 200,000 copies of the book over the years, and we'll sample a few of its classic recipes here this week.
Ingredients
2 cups diced apples, not peeled
1 cup diced celery
1 cup drained crushed pineapple
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1 cup chopped pecans
Dressing:
1 cup whipped cream
1/3cup mayonnaise
Sugar to taste
Directions
Combine first five ingredients. Make dressing. Fold it in gently.
