Personal weather stations >

I want to buy a weather station for around $100 that I found on the Internet. Any advice?

—Robert

Personal weather stations collect and store weather data in your yard, and can even share it on the Internet. While you want a station that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, you also don't want to buy something cheap. The instruments must be able to stand up to the extremes of our Kansas weather. Some of the more popular brands (in no particular order) are made by Oregon Scientific, Davis Instruments and La Crosse.

Send your weather questions to "Ask Storm Team 12," KWCH-TV, P.O. Box 12, Wichita, KS 67201, or e-mail to askstormteam12@kwch.com.
