Sunday will be warmer and windier in the Wichita area, forecasters say.
Gusts could approach 30 mph out of the south as temperatures climb into the upper 80s on a mostly cloudy day. Those winds will stay robust overnight, when lows drop to the low 70s.
Labor Day will crank it up another notch, forecasters say, with highs in the low 90s and south winds in the upper teens to low 20s and gusts topping 30 mph.
Tuesday will echo Monday, with breezy conditions and highs in the low 90s. Slight chances for rain arrive on Wednesday in the region, forecasters say, and will linger into the weekend.
