Wichita has a good chance of enduring heavy rainfall on Friday, forecasters say – bad news for an area already saturated from earlier rains.
Highs will reach the low 80s, with light easterly winds in single digits. Chances for rain will also be good later tonight, with lows in the upper 60s.
Showers and thunderstorms will continue to be possible through the weekend and into the middle of next week, forecasters say. Highs will be in the 80s, with lows in the 60s.
Locally heavy rain will be the primary concern from these off-and-on storms, according to the National Weather Service, but isolated severe storms can’t be ruled out.
