It figures to be a rainy Monday in the Wichita area, but not many people will be complaining after the parched October just past.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely in Wichita on Monday and Monday night, forecasters say, with highs reaching the mid-60s and gusty south winds approaching 30 mph.
Overnight lows will drop to the mid-40s, with Election Day being sunny and cooler. Highs should top out in the upper 50s, forecasters say.
Sunshine should be on offer the rest of the week as well, with highs varying between the upper 50s and mid-60s.
