Wichita can expect a dose of heat over the next few days – along with a slight chance of scattered showers, forecasters say.
Highs will creep near 90 on Wednesday and top out in the upper 80s on Thursday and Friday, with south winds occasionally pushing into double digits.
Skies will be variable, forecasters say, with plenty of sunshine on Wednesday but increasing clouds on Thursday and Friday.
Weather officials are keeping a close eye on the potential track of the remnants of Hurricane Odile, which are expected to move through the Southwest U.S. and up into the Great Plains late this week. Locally heavy rainfall is expected.
