The heat wave appears quite ready to hang around Wichita and much of the Sunflower State for another few days, forecasters say.
The temperature could reach 100 again on Monday in Wichita, which would be the fourth straight century mark for the city. Light winds from the south may occasionally push into double digits.
Overnight lows will settle into the mid-70s, forecasters say, with a few clouds and south-southeasterly winds remaining light. Tuesday will flirt with 100 as well, with sunny skies and light south winds.
Chances for rain – and notably lower temperatures – arrive on Wednesday in the Wichita area.
