Wichita weather: Gusty with more heat

Another day in the upper 90s looms for Wichita on Thursday, forecasters say.

Sunshine and breezy winds are part of the mix, too, with south-southwesterly winds gusting to more than 30 mph. Steady winds will be in the teens.

Overnight lows won’t drop much below 80, with winds easing only slightly.

Friday will be another sizzler, forecasters say, with highs again in the upper 90s. Southerly winds will be in the teens, gusting to nearly 30 mph.

The weekend will be see the heat wave ease, forecasters say, with highs Saturday in the upper 90s again but only in the mid-90s by Sunday.
