Wichita weather: Early morning showers possible, then a hot summer’s day

Another round of overnight showers is possible for the Wichita area Tuesday before the day delivers some summertime sizzle, forecasters say.

Highs will climb near 100 under mostly sunny skies, forecasters say, with south-southwest winds gusting to more than 20 mph.

Overnight lows will dip to the mid-70s under partly cloudy skies, with south winds easing to single digits.

Wednesday should be hot and breezy, forecasters say, with highs again near 100 under sunny skies and south-southwest winds gusting to nearly 30 mph.
