Wichita weather: Spotty showers and thunderstorms

Wichita could see multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms today and tonight, forecasters say.
The first bout of storms could arrive by late morning or early afternoon, with more coming late in the evening. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with highs in the upper 80s and south winds gusting to nearly 30 miles an hour.
Some of the storms could be severe, according to the National Weather Service, with the primary threats being hail the size of quarters, damaging winds and heavy rains. Flooding is possible in areas that receive repeated rounds of heavy rain as storms form and move over the same areas.
Lows Thursday night will not fall out of the 70s, forecasters say, with gusty south winds and more rain possible. Rain chances will persist into Friday, with highs climbing into the low 90s on a mostly sunny day.
Chances for rain will continue through the weekend, forecasters say.
