Wichita weather: Another warm, windy day

Tuesday looks poised to offer a second helping of what Wichita’s weather was like on Monday, forecasters say.

Sunshine, highs in the low 90s and gusty south winds are on tap in the region, with steady breezes in the 20s and gusts nearing 35 miles an hour. Overnight lows will be in the mid-70s under mostly clear skies, forecasters say, with south winds losing little of their strength. Gusts will still top 30 miles an hour.

Highs may once again reach the low 90s on Wednesday, forecasters say, with sunshine and gusty south winds creeping into the 30s at times. A chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives in the area Wednesday night and they will linger in the forecast for the next several days.
