There’s a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms after noon Thursday in the Wichita area, forecasters say.

Skies should be mostly sunny as temperatures climb to the mid-80s. Winds will be light and variable, staying in single digits.

Lows early Friday will reach the mid-60s with skies staying mostly cloudy and winds remaining light, forecasters say. Friday will see skies remaining mostly cloudy, with a chance of showers and highs again in the mid-80s.

Slight chances for showers will persist through the weekend, with highs in the 80s and lows in the upper 60s to low 70s.
