Highs on Friday in the metropolitan area should reach the low 90s under a mostly sunny day, forecasters say, but then a cold front arrives early Saturday morning and delivers cooler temperatures and chances for rain.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely on Saturday and especially Saturday night. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid-80s, forecasters say, with south winds in the teens and gusting to the mid-20s.
Sunday is likely to offer more rain, with highs in the low 70s.
Next week is shaping up to be partly sunny, with highs in the 70s.
