WICHITA — Don't expect to see much sun today. Do expect to see light snow this evening.
That's the word from the National Weather Service in Wichita, which is expecting a weather system — triggered by a weather disturbance in Mexico — to bring increasing clouds to the Wichita area today.
Light snow will begin this evening, probably just after rush hour. It will leave a snow accumulation of about one 1 inch by daybreak Wednesday, said Weather Service meteorologist Jim Caruso.
The system will push east Wednesday morning, leaving a few lingering flurries, Caruso said.
Never miss a local story.
For the next few days, temperatures should remain a little below normal, with highs in the low to mid-30s, he said.
