Admitted BTK serial killer Dennis Rader can now receive mail directly from journalists and have contact with a Topeka woman who's working on the story of his life.

Sedgwick County prosecutors and public defenders agreed with the request Rader made on Monday, and Judge Greg Waller sign off on the agreement without a formal hearing on Friday.

The Topeka woman, Kristen Casarona, had been corresponding with Rader since March. After her letters, some 500 pages of them, were subpoenaed by prosecutors and she was named as a witness, Waller then ordered Rader to have no further contact with her. Casarona said none of her letters from Rader discussed his crime.
