‘Take Back Kansas’ political rally set for Friday in downtown Wichita

A public rally will be held Friday in A. Price Woodard Park as part of Women For Kansas’ “Take Back Kansas” convention.

The free rally be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. across the street from the Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview, site of the convention. Speakers will include Vickie Stangl with Americans United for Separation of Church and State; Lindsey Benage, a health care access advocate; Stephanie Harsin, an educator from Topeka, and Anna Jenney, a high school student.

The rally will feature entertainment by Robin Macy and the Cherokee Maidens with Sycamore Swing, and the Freedom Singers with Laura Dungan. Food from food trucks will be available.
