5 years after ‘Appalachian Trail’ scandal, Sanford rises from political dead

The former governor and now congressman says he’s humbled by the fall he took from the edge of national political power thanks to a confession to an extramarital affair and a claim he’d met his “soul mate.” He no longer insists on doing everything his way.
