The list of prospective cities to host the 2016 Republican National Convention is down to four--and Las Vegas and Cincinnati are out.

The Kansas City Star reports that Kansas City is still in the running, along with Cleveland, Denver and Dallas. The Republican National Committee’s site selection panel will visit each city in June, and a final verdict is expected in late summer.

In a statement, committee chairwoman Enid Mickelsen said the four cities were frontrunners from the start. Las Vegas and Cincinnati withdrew, due to concerns about their venues. Columbus, Ohio, and Phoenix were eliminated from consideration earlier this year.

The Star reported that Kansas City officials were ecstatic.

“We believe we are appropriately there, that they made a good choice,” Mayor Sly James told reporters, according to the Star. “Snd we believe to this day that we have the best option for them.”
