In order to prepare for Syracuse and its physical front line, Kansas State turned to Darren Kent for help.
The former Wildcats player and current graduate student manager threw on some shorts and participated in practice today.
Jamar Samuels was glad to go against him.
“Darrent Kent is one of the most physical guys I’ve ever met in my life,” Samuels said. “It’s crazy. He wasn’t like that my freshman year. But ever since he stopped playing basketball he has picked up a lot of weight and he is strong as hell.”
Kent played with K-State until 2009 and goes by the nickname “White Tiger.” He came back to K-State this season as a member of Frank Martin’s coaching staff. Kent was kind enough to talk about his current role with the Wildcats with us. Here are a few highlights of the conversation.

Fortunately he had a spot. It's worked out. (more…)
