Passengers on an Airbus A380jumbojet held a mutiny after being on board for eight hours at Heathrow Airport because of weather conditions, according to Breaking Travel News.
The Middle East Airlines flight, bound for Beirut, was carrying 230 passengers. It had been held on the runway for nearly eight hours because of high winds and thunderstorms, the report said.
Passengers, agitated from the long wait inside the plane, began confronting crew members. Some began shoving, pushing and starting fistfights. It took up to eight police officers who boarded the plane to break up the fighting, the report said.
Eventually, the flight took off for Beirut without further incident.
