Latecoere, a French financially distressed aircraft parts supplier, will announce a buyer or “at least an industrial solution” in a month, according to the French financial publication La Tribune.
The company’s first choice of a buyer is EADS, the paper said. But talks are also going on with China’s Avic, Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, Fokker in the Netherlands and Britain’s GKN, according to a report by Reuter’s news service.
Latecoere builds passenger doors for Airbus’s A380 jet and Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner. The company is more than $410 million in debt, La Tribune said.
