From the Eagle’s Chris Elliott:
Heights junior forward Perry Ellis hasn’t made a decision yet as to where he will be playing his college basketball, but Friday morning he narrowed the list of potential schools down to six.
Heights coach Joe Auer said that Ellis’ top schools are Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Memphis, Oklahoma and Wichita State. Ellis had scholarship offers from those school and Iowa, Texas A&M and Wake Forest. Schools such as Georgetown, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, Stanford and UCLA have all been on the recruiting trail for Ellis’ services.
Ellis helped to lead Heights to Class 6A titles in 2009 as a freshman and 2010 as a sophomore. As a junior, Ellis is a fixture on a 4-0 Heights team, averaging 20 points and seven rebounds. He averaged 10 points and 11 rebounds as a freshman and 22 points and 10 rebounds as a sophomore.
