The coldest night of the season for Wichita will be followed by a sunny but harsh day in the metropolitan area, forecasters say.
Overnight lows dropped into the single digits in southcentral Kansas overnight, with wind chills at or below zero, and the wind chills won’t improve much throughout the day.
Highs should climb into the mid-30s, with west winds flirting with double digits, but forecasters say wind chills should stay near zero today.
It will be another very cold night tonight, with lows in the mid-teens and wind chills around zero. Tuesday should be a bit warmer, with sunny skies and highs in the low 40s.
