It's getting harder for the Koch brothers of Wichita-based Koch Industries to donate to their free-market causes in peace and quiet. On Tuesday the New York Times blasted the Kochs for contributing a reported $1 million to the effort to repeal California’s 2006 law aimed at reducing greenhouse gases. The editorial concluded: "Who wins if this law is repudiated? The Koch brothers, maybe, but the biggest winners will be the Chinese, who are already moving briskly ahead in the clean technology race. And the losers? The people of California, surely. But the biggest loser will be the planet."
