After 28 years at Cessna Aircraft, Roger Whyte, Cessna senior vice president of sales and marketing, is retiring at the end of the year, the company said today.
Whyte said he plans to stay in Wichita for a time, travel and enjoy retirement.
He joined Cessna in 1982 and has held positions as regional sales manager; division sales manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa; director of Citation international sales; and vice president of Citation worldwide sales.
Whyte was promoted to head of worldwide sales and marketing of Cessna’s entire product line of single-engine, Caravan and Citation aircraft, in 1997.
He is a native of England and graduated from the University of London. Whyte also holds an air transport pilot’s license and holds instrument, multi-engine and Citation ratings.
He is married with three grown children.
