The number of passengers flying Allegiant Air rose 21 percent in October from the same month a year ago, the company reports.
For October, 386,101 passengers flew on Allegiant’s scheduled service, compared to 319,980 in October 2009. Its load factor — how full the airplanes are –rose slightly to 90.1 percent, up slightly from 89.6 percent.
For the first 10 months of 2010, Allegiant flew 4.7 million passengers on its scheduled service, up 14 percent from 4.1 million a year ago.
For the total system, which includes scheduled service, fixed fee contract and non-revenue flying, passenger traffic rose 15.2 percent in October to 413,694. For the year, passengers totaled 4.95 million, up 11 percent from 4.47 million a year ago.
