Rep. Todd Tiahrt, R-Goddard, (or his staff) has mastered the tart partisan tweet. Fort Hays State University professor Chapman Rackaway wonders whether the Tiahrt campaign's Twitter addiction might have hurt the candidate in his effort to win the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate over Rep. Jerry Moran, R-Hays. Writing in the Hays Daily News, Rackaway noted that the campaign tried out its "meanest and lowest shots" against Moran on Twitter. "You'd expect that Tiahrt's crew would have given it a rest after the primary," he added, "but Vicki Tiahrt still tweets as often as Ashton Kutcher after five Red Bulls and is still wringing her hands over the loss by complaining about polls (we all knew they were inflated) and quoting a National Public Radio story (no equal to Fox News for a conservative). Tiahrt's crew would be well-advised to look to folks like Tracey Mann (1st Congressional District candidate) for lessons in how to concede with dignity."
