Vortex2 and other storm chasers are poised in Kansas this afternoon, waiting for storms to fire up in northern sectors of the state.
Forecasters tell me the most likely location for severe weather – if it develops at all – will be along the I-70 corridor between Hays and Topeka. Much depends on how quickly the warm front lifts north through the state.
Wichita may see rain overnight, but no severe weather.
Chasers and forecasters alike are already buzzing about the violent weather potential on Monday, when forecast models indicate conditions in western and central Kansas will be favorable for strong storms.
