Skies will gradually clear in the Wichita area today after overnight showers delivered nearly half an inch of rain to portions of the city.
A few scattered showers may pop up in the region yet this morning, forecasters say.
Winds will be markedly lighter, too, after two days of howling. Northwest winds will be in the teens, with occasional gusts into the 20s. High temperatures should reach the low 70s.
The weekend should mostly be dry, forecasters say, with highs in the 60s to about 70.
