TOPEKA – Republican gubernatorial candidate U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback is scheduled to announce his running mate Tuesday in Overland Park.
Brownback, the Republican front-runner, and his pick for lieutenant governor will follow the announcement with a two-day statewide tour that will include a stop in Wichita on Tuesday afternoon.
Brownback and his running mate will face off against Joan Heffington in the primary. The winner of that race will face Democratic candidate Tom Holland in the November general election.
