Sometimes I wonder if there is a limit when it comes to sports and youth. I know of people who have 7-year-olds who played football and soccer in the fall, then basketball in the winter, back to football and soccer in the spring and will play baseball and basketball in the summer. I just smile and know my eyes are glazed over.
Sorry, I think it’s too much. Will their kids be Division I athletes and mine won’t? Maybe.
Do their kids have a higher chance of being burnt out? Definitely.
What brought this to mind is this story on the pitch count issue in baseball.
