Clouds will be plentiful on another nice day in the Wichita area, and then showers and thunderstorms become a staple of the forecast for the next several days.
Highs today will reach the upper 60s, forecasters say, with light southerly winds. Occasional gusts will climb into the 20s.
Thunderstorms are likely after midnight west of the Flint Hills, with lows slipping to the low 50s. While severe weather is not expected, the strongest storms could produce high winds and small hail. More rain is possible during the day Wednesday morning.
