With sunny skies and highs in the low 50s expected today, the holiday week is getting off to a remarkably nice start for the Wichita area.
Forecasters say southeasterly winds will be light, staying primarily in the single digits. Tuesday could bring some drizzle, with highs in the mid-40s. Wednesday could see the 50s again – and thunderstorms – before an arctic blast turns that moisture into snow.
Get that last-minute Christmas shopping done early this week, because forecasters warn that blizzard-like conditions can be expected in central and south-central Kansas Wednesday night and Thursday.
