WICHITA - Showers rolled through the Wichita area early Thursday morning, dampening soil and sending rumbles of thunder through the predawn darkness.
Skies should gradually become partly cloudy as the day continues, with temperatures climbing into the low 90s in Wichita. Southerly winds will be gusty, surging from the teens into the mid-20s.
Another chance of showers arrives later tongiht, when lows tonight will sink to the upper 60s, forecasters say. Friday will be sunny and hot - with highs reaching the upper 90s.
