President Obama's job approval rating remains high — 63 percent, according to the latest CBS News/New York Times poll. But not all his policies are viewed as favorably. Only 44 percent of those surveyed approve of how Obama is handling health care, and only 41 percent approve of his handling of the auto industry bailout. However, 57 percent approve of his overall handling of the economy, and 59 percent approve of his foreign policy, despite former Vice President Dick Cheney's grumbling.Though Republicans may be able to capitalize on certain policy issues, they face their own problems. Only 28 percent of those surveyed had a favorable opinion of the GOP, while 58 percent had an unfavorable view.
