Goessel’s Craig Banman won multiple titles today in the sprints, the latest coming in Class 1A’s 200-meter dash with a time of 22.37.
Doris Jean Lamar-McLemore was the last remaining person who could fluently speak the native language of the Wichita Indians. She died on Tuesday in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Lamar-McLemore worked to preserve the language in the latter years of her life by writing it down and recording it. (File video by Travis Heying/The Wichita Eagle)
