9:50 p.m. – Jaimie House just set a pole vault record for the second time today. She’s still going. She’s a stud.
I love today. Everything’s a final. Lots of smiles, mixed in with tears.
Doris Jean Lamar-McLemore was the last remaining person who could fluently speak the native language of the Wichita Indians. She died on Tuesday in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Lamar-McLemore worked to preserve the language in the latter years of her life by writing it down and recording it. (File video by Travis Heying/The Wichita Eagle)
