The CEO of LaBov & Beyond, a Fort Wayne, Ind.-based public relations and advertising firm, defends the use of business aviation in this interview held yesterday with CNBC’s Street Signs.
In the interview, Barry Labov touts the efficiency of jets and how much work companies can do when they use them. He and his employees travel from small airports into other small airports and bring work back to Fort Wayne with them.
On the other side was Chuck Collins, author of High Travelers: How Private Jet Travel is Straining the System, Warming the Planet and Costing You Money.
The program noted that 12 percent of the jobs in general aviation in the U.S. have been lost during the downturn. It also said that in Wichita, the unemployment rate is now 6.7 percent, up from 3.9 percent.
