Technical college offers course on reading body language

The Wichita Area Technical College will hold a seminar Aug. 26-28 that will include interpreting body language as part of communication

Terry Vaughn, an author and former British Royal Marine, will be the speaker. The event is open to the public.

Other topics will include understanding personality types, interviewing techniques and recognizing deceptive behavior. The course originally targeted law enforcement but can be useful for “anyone who deals with people,” said Colin Gallagher, WATC’s director of safety and security.

Seminar sessions are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 26 and 27, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Aug 28. All sessions will be at WATC, 4004 N. Webb Road.
